Tim Prizeman

Tim Prizeman is the author of the book The Thought Leadership Manual – how to grab your clients’ attention with powerful ideas and a long-standing PR adviser to legal and other professional firms.

He has extensive 20+ years’ experience of helping professional firms develop and deliver thought leadership programmes, and has been helping create such projects since before the term was used. He has received four national awards for such programmes, most recently winning a 2016 Excellence award from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

His experience ranges from large working with international law firms through mid-tier and specialist practices to boutiques and individual QCs (as well as a wide range of consultancy, accountancy and financial technology businesses). Tim started his career in senior PR roles at Touche Ross (now Deloitte) and Arthur Andersen (now also Deloitte!) and initially at BDO Binder Hamlyn (now also also Deloitte!!).

Tim is a director with Public Relations and Thought Leadership consultants Kelso Consulting (www.kelsopr.com) which he founded last millenia, which particularly specialises in working with professional partnerships to create leadership reputations in their target markets.

He observes that the term “thought leadership” has become a devalued term in most professional firms, including legal ones, with the term too frequently being used to refer to any old content marketing initiative, regardless of whether there is any thought or leadership being displayed.
